It’s time to talk about storytelling. Telling a story makes the issue personal.

It’s time to move onto the social media beast. This beast can be your best friend or worst enemy. In a matter of seconds, the fakes spread across continents. I’m not talking only about fake designer perfumes.

Just like spaghetti with meatballs. It’s like eating spaghetti with meatballs.

Ah, resilience. My favourite word is “resilience”. This is my favourite word. It’s more important than “free food”.

Engaging with policymakers can feel like showing your grandmother how Snapchat works. Even though it can be frustrating, you will find that the results are worth it. Even bringing in some cookies will sweeten your message.

Remember why we engage in “political activism”: We are deeply concerned about issues bigger than us.

That’s it! A nutshell of political advocacy. What is political advocacy? The work is exhausting, messy and sometimes even frustrating, but we also get to see real, tangible changes before our very eyes. This is a great feeling! It’s worth celebrating, but I don’t know what else. The truth is, you may be the catalyst for change. It’s a good thing we all have a second chance to make a first impression.
